Sunnyside's White Leghorn is the top producer of large white eggs. Its early egg size, feed efficiency, excellent livability and shell quality can’t be beat. Females weigh 2.75 to 3 lbs. at 20 weeks and 3.8 lbs. at maturity.

White and brown egg started pullets available first part of August and first part of September. Order as soon as possible to reserve pullets.
The males are buff color with a few dark feathers and weigh 5-6 lbs. at 20-22 weeks. The females are reddish-brown similar to the Rhode Island Red and weigh 5 lbs. at maturity. The Browns lay well, are easy to handle, extremely hardy and have excellent egg quality.

Sunnyside's new Special Black is now sexable. The Special Black is solid in color, with both the males and females predominately black. The Special Black has a reputation for great livability, hardiness and the females are excellent brown egg producers. The females will weigh 5-5 1/2 lbs. at maturity and the males 6-7 lbs. at 20-22 weeks making Sunnyside's Special Black an excellent dual purpose bird.

Commercial turkeys raised today are the large Broad Breasted White variety. Females can be expected to weigh 16-18 pounds in 14-16 weeks and Toms 30 pounds in 18-20 weeks.

The Broad Breasted Bronze turkeys are similar in size and confirmation to the Broad Breasted White turkeys. The Bronze are especially beautiful to behold with their large colorful wing span.

The color pattern is the same as Rouens but Mallards are much smaller and the meat has a gamey taste not found in domestic ducks.

The Giant White Pekins are the ducks most in demand. They are very hardy and extremely fast growing with 7 pound weights in 8 to 9 weeks. Being white feathered, they dress out nicely.

The large type Rouens are fast growing ducks reaching 7-8 pound weights in about 9 weeks. They carry dark feathers that resemble mallard ducks. The drakes carry greenish heads with gray bodies, the hens are brown.

For meat production, the large White Embden is most popular. They carry a mature weight of 14-18 lbs. by the holidays when placed in the spring. The smoky colored down turns white when mature.

The Gray Toulouse Geese are dark feathered fowl that mature at 14-18 lbs., similar to White Embdens. Easy to raise, they can be confined in your growing operation like White Embden. Availability of Gray Toulouse is limited.
