Sunnyside Jumbo Broilers
Our fast-growing jumbo broilers, when managed
properly, should reach 6-7 lbs in only 8 weeks.
These birds are known for their strong legs,
plump breasts, excellent feed conversion and
livability.
Heritage Breeds
Barred Rocks
Recognizable by their contrasting black and gray
plumage, the dual purpose Barred Rock has
been a favorite brown-egg layer on American
farmsteads for over a century.
Rhode Island Reds
This cherry-colored beauty from the Northeast
has contributed to the development of many of
today’s commercial brown egg hybrids. Another
great option for both eggs and meat.
Buff Orpingtons
A traditional English breed that's both a dependable layer of brown eggs and a fine, white-skinned table bird.
They're striking orange-buff plumage will set them apart from the rest of your flock.
Golden Laced Wyandottes
Developed in Wisconsin in the 19th century, this dual-purpose brown-egg layer is noted for their stunning
combination of gold and black plumage along with their frostbite-resistant rose combs.
Delawares
An American original, these dual-urpose beauties have a white base plumage with gray barring in their hackle and tail feathers. Delaware pullets will mature into dependable layers of brown shelled eggs.
Brown Leghorns
This native of Italy brings you excellent white-egg production in a beautifully colored package. Hens are
penciled in straw and black while the males look very similar to the rooster on the box of cornflakes!
Black Australorp
This glossy-black beauty came to the United States after its development in Australia in the late 1800's. A reliable layer of brown eggs, this dual purpose bird is a favorite of backyard poultry enthusiasts.
Lavender Orpington
This rare member of the Orpington family sports a fluffy, slate-blue plume which will stand out in any flock. These hardy, dual-purpose birds are not only beautiful, but great layers of brown eggs too.
Dual Purpose Hybrids
Special Blacks
A Sunnyside original- the ultimate dual-purpose
hybrid. The females are excellent brown egg
layers and males should finish at over 6 pounds
in about 20 weeks. The preferred bird for many
ethnic markets!
Special Reds
These hybrids are similar in size and
production capabilities to our Special
Blacks, just with a red plumage instead of
black. Supplies are limited.
Layers
Commercial Brown Layers
Our Brown hens will produce large volumes of highquality, brown-shelled eggs starting as early as 18
weeks of age. The female is known for her quiet
temperament and hardiness. Males are lighter in
color and make excellent fryers.
White Leghorn
Our premium producer of pearl white eggs. Pullets are ready to lay at 20 weeks and you can
expect excellent feed efficiency, livability, and
shell quality from these birds.
Colored Egg Layers
Sunnyside Rainbow Eggers
Don’t mistake these for AraucanasRainbow Eggers are a colorful collection of
commercial layer strains from Europe that
will fill your egg basket with green, blue,
chocolate brown and cream-tinted eggs.

Cuckoo Marans
This barred dual-purpose French breed is known to produce extremely dark colored eggs and makes a quality table bird as well. Supplies are limited
Turkey Poults
Broad Breasted White
If it’s a fast-growing turkey with great livability and excellent feed conversion you seek, the Broad Breasted
White is the one for you.
Females will grow to 16-18 lbs. in 14-16 weeks, while Toms should finish out at 30 lbs. in 18-20 weeks.
Broad Breasted Bronze
While these beautiful turkeys resemble their wild cousins in plumage, their size and confirmation are more in
line with our Broad Breasted Whites.
Our traditional Bronze does excellent in free range and other alternative systems as they make great foragers.
Hobby Farm Assorted
Hatchery choice of jumbo broilers, along with everything else we offer
of our large breed chicks. We will do our best to provide you a good
variety!
Started Pullets
Sunnyside offers ready-to-lay pullets, both white egg and
brown egg varieties, that are available for pick up in August and
September each year. We start taking orders in early March. Get
your order in soon as supplies are limited!
Vitamins and Supplements
GroGel Plus - Mixed with water and the granules will expand into a soft, palatable gel to supply chicks with the
crucial nutrients and beneficial bacteria they need to get off to a great start! Each 7 gram packet contains enough
GroGel Plus for 100 baby chicks. $3.00/pack
Streseez Plus - A water-dispersible supplement of essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes for
poultry in all stages of life. Each 6 oz. pack will treat up to 128 gallons of water. $6.50/pack.

Hatchery pick ups or via Sunnyside dealers:
- No minimum order size (except for dealer orders that are mailed - see below)
- Chicks 15 or fewer, turkeys 8 or fewer - add $10
- Chicks 16-99, turkeys 9-29 - add $5
- Over 100 chicks or 30 turkeys - no additional charges
- There is a 3 chick order minimum per breed

- Minimum orders of 15 chicks or 8 turkeys for shipping
- Chick orders 24 or fewer, or 8-9 turkeys - add $20
- Chick orders 25+, turkeys 10+ - add $10
